Do you get an engagement gift?

I know that you get a gift for the wedding and the bridal shower but do you get gifts for the engagment?

i dont think its mandatory, but its nice. I know people who never give engagement gifts, or only give them if theres a party or always give them.

I think its up to the discretion of the person

i usually get the couple something little. it all adds up eventually..engagement gift, bridal shower gift and than wedding gift...lol
