Did you do anything special for your place card holders?

I'm trying to think of something creative to do but cant seem to think of anything. have you guys done anything or seen anything that has made place cards stand out before?

i've seen some hand written ones that are pretty. that only works if you have nice handwriting though. otherwise usually i see print outs with ribbon or some other ornament.

we're doing it pretty simple. names printed on card stock and double sided taped to place cards (the ones that fold in half) with some ribbon accents...

I think instead of numbers, we're going to do places or memories that we have as a couple and the holder will be something to do with that. For example, one place is the zoo (first date) so it will be some sort of animal figurine holding up the name of the table.
